Still Standing – Anxious for Nothing

Image

I spent a few minutes evaluating my life yesterday.  I have come to a remarkable yet joyous conclusion; I have no worries.  No concerns.  I am at a place in my life where I can declare and validate this unequivocally.  Notice that I did not say I am problem free.  That would go against the Word for He has declared that in this world, we shall have tribulation He also qualified that statement; He stated “But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”   He tells us the purpose that He is saying this to us:  So that through Him, we might have peace.

I am at a place in my life that I have peace.  I am not speaking of a physical place, I have peace within.  I have arrived.  This simply means that I have grown to a place in my spiritual journey that I am no longer afraid of the “Boogie Man”.  It means that I have finally arrived to the place in my spiritual journey that I know, that I know that I am so protected,  so loved, so cared for that whenever, whatever and how ever, the “Boogie Man” comes, nothing that he throws at me will succeed.  I know I have the victory.  I know this because I am still standing.

Where I to reveal to you the attacks upon my life that I have withstood through Christ, you would wonder how I survived.  You would marvel that I have endured.  You would perhaps question the clarity of my mind and more importantly, you would doubt the saving grace of my Savior.  But I would ask you to point me to the ‘man or woman’ that stood with me during my battles and you could not.  Flesh and blood could not do what Jesus has done.  Flesh and blood did not stand with me.  Flesh and blood may have attempted to place a bandage on my wounds but flesh and blood could not and will never be able to heal the hurt or carry me through.  Indeed when I looked for another, there was none.  Only Jesus.

Should my testimony give rise to curiosity in you I can give you the “How to Guide”.  Will you follow the guide?  Perhaps when times get hard enough you might until that season in your life passes.  But I can so easily promise you that this is the way.  There is no other.   In good times and in bad times through trials and tribulations, to maintain and retain your joy; THIS IS THE WAY.

1)      Be careful for nothing

Don’t worry about anything – If you could fix the problem you   would – realize you of   your own self can not do nothing about it

2)      In everything by prayer – Pray about everything

3)       and supplication with thanksgiving – Add to your prayers – gratitude because you know He has been good to you  through all your mess

4)      let your requests be made known unto God – Tell God of your concerns and give Him permission to handle the matter (s) – His Way

WHEN YOU DO THIS; THEN:

The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

REST IN THIS TRUTH – YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGURE THINGS OUT.  YOUR THINKING IS LIMITED; SO DON’T TRY TO LIMIT GOD.  DO NOT TRY AND TELL HIM HOW YOU WANT HIM TO FIX YOUR CONCERNS.  IF YOU KNEW HOW TO DO IT YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT ALREADY. GET REAL.

FINALLY……………………

5)      Readjust your attitude; purify your mind: think good things

whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

WHY?

To establish the virtue, the righteousness which is of God, in God and through God.

Lift your hands in praise!!!  Through it all, you’re still standing!! In the peace of God.

No worries, no concerns.
